Serbia and Montenegro purged sixteen generals and several other officers of lesser rank. Most of the senior officers sacked served in the Milosevic regime. The chief of military intelligence, Radoslav Skoric, was among the senior officers removed. This is part of the military restructuring Serbia and Montenegro began discussing openly two months ago. The removal of Milosevic holdovers has been a goal of EU leaders.

SFOR said that SFOR troops and several Republika Srpska police found 42 bazookas (probably RPG launchers) near Banja Luka. The weapons had been buried.
