Last May, India awarded a contract to a company called Dnata to provide "ground handling services" at India's largest airports (Bombay, New Delhi, Madras, Trivandrum, Hyderabad). Dnata is a subsidiary of Emirates, a company that provides similar services in the Persian Gulf region. Indian police noticed former Pakistani soldiers listed as employees of Dnata and (after the attack on the Indian parliament) found that Dnata is linked to Dawood Ibrahim, an Islamic radical wanted in India on terrorist charges. --Stephen V Cole
