The five South Korean islands in the Yellow Sea are quiet. The North Koreans have to threatened to attack without warning any ships that move close to the islands. At the end of the Korean war, UN troops occupied these five small islands off the west coast of North Korea. The 7,000 residents earn a good living off the rich fishing grounds off shore. It is the fishing wealth that the North Koreans covet.
