In Kashmir, several attacks left 14 rebels, two civilians and eight soldiers  dead. Food convoys going from Pakistan into Afghanistan are no longer encountering bandits. Apparently the Northern Alliance has been able to clear out most of the bandits who were preying on the truck traffic. It might also be that the bandits are able to steal more useful stuff from non-food trucks. One sign that the Taliban is in a bad way is that payments to Pakistani hospitals on the border, for treating wounded Taliban, have stopped. The patients have been moved to a Taliban office, which has been turned into a makeshift hospital.
