The Pentagon may have found a way around limits in the 1988 Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces treaty that blocks Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles (because they have some aspects of ground-launched cruise missiles). The loophole is that such vehicles launched from ships are not covered, allowing the Navy to have UCAVs even if the other services cannot.-Stephen V Cole
