Law enforcement groups around the world have logged more than 30,000 threats to release new viruses for New Years Day, 2000. If even 10 of these actually show up, it could overwhelm the abilities of the handful of companies that design and distribute fixes and anti-virus software. Anyone with a computer is urged to make those backups they always meant to but never actually did as quickly as possible.--Stephen V Cole
