More information has become available on Israel's experiment to mount Nimrod anti-tank missiles on a CH-53 helicopter. The aircraft can carry up the eight missiles, four on each side. These replace the long-range fuel tanks. The missile could be targeted on other helicopters, or on ground targets, or on ships and boats. The Israelis may use equipment of this type to support air assault missions and raids.--Stephen V Cole
